Sacculturalhub Physician’s Forum
Date: February 7, 2014
Event Time: 5:30 p.m.- 9:30 p.m.
Who: Teens 14-18
Where: UC Davis School of Medicine - Education Building 4610 X Street in Sacramento, California
What: A volunteer opportunity for teens to participate in an event that connects physicians, clinicians, medical students, and health administrators with colleagues throughout Northern California to discuss physician leadership and collaborative roles in chronic disease treatment, prevention, and access to healthcare. “Sac Cultural Hub Media Foundation annually hosts the Black Physicians Forum as a call to action. Black Physicians leadership can change social norms by increasing community awareness of disparities, articulate valid reasons for resources to be expended in reducing these disparities, implementing universal and targeted intervention programs, and setting short and long-term goals to achieve a faster rate of improvement in the African American community

Clothes Drive Fundraiser
When: February 15 to March 15
What: C.L.A.S.S.Y. INC will be hosting a clothes drive where we will be accepting used clothes and shoes, items collected will go to the Clothes Recyclers by collecting these items we are able to raise money to fund our programs. Clothing can be dropped off at our Feb. 15 event between 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (4000 Fruitridge Rd), March 14, 2014 between 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at the Elk Grove Library (8900 Elk Grove Blvd) or our March 15 event 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (4000 Fruitridge Road)

Fashion Rummage’ Extravaganza
Date: March 15, 2014
Event Time: 10:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.

Who: Ladies 7-18
Cost: Free (Breakfast snack, Lunch and Fashionista Bag provided)
Event Details: Participants will engage in workshops to learn about hair care, fashion trends, nail care, makeup, a teen fashion panel that will address hair, makeup questions and there will also be a fashion show, hosted by teen stylist. C.L.A.S.S.Y. INC will also be hosting a clothes drive drop, Any used clothes or shoes will be accepted as part of our fundraiser, all donations are tax deductible and receipts will be provided on site.

Fashion Rummage’ Rehearsal
Time: March 14, 2014
When: 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Where: Elk Grove Library (8900 Elk Grove Blvd)
What: C.L.A.S.SY. INC will be hosting a rehearsal for ladies 7-18 and volunteers that will be involved in the Fashion Rummage’ we will also be collecting used clothes and shoes for our fundraiser and Fashion Rummage’ Fashion Show.

Youth Career Fair
Date: March 22, 2014
Event Time: 10am-2pm
Who: Coed Youth ages 14-18

Cost: Free (Breakfast snacks and Lunch provided)
Event Details: This event is designed for youth 14-18 who are interested in seeking youth employment; there will be a host of employers who will be recruiting youth for summer 2014 jobs and volunteer opportunities to gain community service hours. There will also be resume, application and mock interview workshops to assist youth in their pursuit of employment.

Get Fit, Get With It
Who: Ladies 7-18 (Parent or Guardian participation required)
Cost: Free

Where: 8383 Florin Road
What: C.L.A.S.S.Y. Inc will be hosting a healthy cooking class that teaches attendees how to prepare healthy meals, in addition they will also be able to partake in exercise classes that will teach attendees fitness routines that they can do at home stay fit and healthy.

March of Dimes Team Walk
When: April 26, 2014 (7:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.)
Where: State Capitol
Cost: 5.00 Donation towards the Matthew Team pay onsite on the day of the walk, Team Matthew T-shirts will also be sold.
What: Join us as we walk for babies everywhere!!
This is our 3rd year advocating Matthew Miller’s memory for Matthew's Team! They've raised a lot of money and a lot of awareness, but we can always do more!
This year, we're excited to continue walking and raising for such an amazing organization. March for Babies is a family friendly walk that has so much to offer, family fun, inspiration, support, lunch and beautiful weather through downtown Sacramento and Old Sacramento. This year promises to bring even more family fun and more events for kids!

Mother Daughter Brunch
When: Saturday: May 10, 2014 (9:00 a.m. - Noon)
Where: Holiday Inn Express (9175 West Stockton Blvd)
What: This is an event for mothers, daughters, grandmothers, aunt’s nieces. This event is limited to the first 80 registrants. This event will sell out please purchase your tickets in advance. This event will have a delightful brunch, inspirational speakers, dancing, raffles, mother/daughter promise, pictures and so much more…
Cost: $10.00

Aiding the Homeless
When: May 31, 2014 (7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.)
Cost: Free
Who: Ladies 7-18 and Parents
Where: 3601 12th Ave (Trinity Baptist Church)
What: A community service opportunity for youth to aid in preparing lunch and donation bags to provide the homeless. Participants will partake in prepping to get items ready to be donated, followed by a breakfast and then all participants will caravan downtown to distribute items to homeless. *Parent participation is required for this event unless participant is of driving age and can drive their own vehicle.

Women’s Fitness Festival
When: June 8, 2014 (7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.) What: CLASSY participants will be volunteering to assist in the Women’s Fitness Festival; participants will get a free t-shirt and have the fun opportunity to volunteer at this event, whether it’s passing out water to runners, to passing out snacks there are a host of fun things to do to assist in this event. Where: State Capitol

When: July 26, 2014 Event Time: 8:00 a.m. - Noon Where: Countryside Park Cost: $30.00 Adults/ $10.00 Youth (Online Purchase begins on April 15, 2014) Who: Everyone What: This event is to support the events and efforts of CLASSY INC that provides free services and resources to ladies 7-18 that focus on improving the self-esteem through community involvement, fundamental workshops and social events.

Raging Waters Social Trip
When: August 9, 2014 Noon - 6:00 p.m.
Where: Raging Waters (Cal Expo)
What: Participants who volunteered at the car wash are able to enjoy some fun in the sun, join us as we have a great day socializing and soaking up the sun.
Cost: Free for those that volunteered at the car wash and discounted rate for those that were unable to volunteer.

When: September 13¸2014 (8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.)
Where: Double Tree Hotel
What: A brunch conference where women and ladies will have the opportunity to engage in forums, workshops and award ceremonies.

Run To Feed the Hungry Run
When: November 27, 2014 (7:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.)
What: A run dedicated to resolve hunger among families
Cost: $35.00 to participate in the run, Walkers are welcome to attend there is no required fee to join in the walk and any amount of donation is acceptable onsite at the venue.

Strides Against Breast Cancer Team Walk
When: October 19, 2014 (7:30 am-10am)
Where: State Capitol
What: Team C.L.A.S.S.Y. will be in full effect for our annual team walk to raise awareness for breast cancer. All ages and genders are welcomed, there is no required cost to walk with us as a team however if you would like a team shirt, snack ticket and pin the cost will be $10.00, donations will also be accepted all funds raised go towards the Strides Against Breast Cancer Event.

Who: Parents and Ladies 7-18
What: C.L.A.S.S.Y. INC takes this opportunity to showcase the achievements that have been made by youth in the community by hosting an awards ceremony for all attendees, in addition this event is also our last event of the year where we collect toys, blankets and can goods to donate to families in need in the community.

Anti-Bullying Forum
When: Tentative (For October 25, 2014, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.)

Who: Parents and Ladies 7-18
This workshop will serve as practical hands on “learning laboratory” for ladies to discuss in an open, supportive and non-judgmental environment how to avoid fights at school, how to avoid negative situations and gossip. In addition ladies will also gain strategies that focus on their strengths and goals. Each attendee is given a receives her Anti bullying pledge Certificate

Media Engagement Project (Fall Project)
